Dr Kate Kirkpatrick

Kate Kirkpatrick is the Tutorial Fellow in Philosophy and Christian Ethics at Regent’s Park College, Oxford. Her research focuses on intersections between philosophy, religion, and culture in twentieth-century French phenomenology, existentialism, and feminism—especially in the works of Simone de Beauvoir and Jean-Paul Sartre. She works on ethical formation, philosophical and religious ethics, and questions of methodology, form, and content. With respect to the latter she is particularly interested in literature as a medium through which questions about ethics and meaning are explored.
